Rice Alliance - Austin Chapter Presents: “Entrepreneur's Workshop 2009”
The Austin Chapter of the Rice Alliance, Austin Technology Incubator, and the Central Texas Angel Network are pleased to announce an eight-week Entrepreneur’s Workshop that will cover the basics of starting and growing a successful business.
The Workshop is designed for entrepreneurs who are interested in starting a new venture or are currently working to expand their existing start-up. The Workshop will meet weekly over an eight-week period and will be conducted in a classroom environment. Each weekly session will be taught by experts in their respective fields, including entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, private investors, CEO’s, legal, accounting, and marketing executives.
At the end of the program, participants will have the opportunity to pitch their business plan to an audience of potential investors, partners and mentors at the elevator pitch session followed by a reception.

Fee to Participate: $100 – includes all sessions and materials

April 30th – Entrepreneurship basics with CEO panel on lessons learned May 7th – Finance and accounting issues and business plan construction May 14th – Market identification and competitive position May 21st – Building a successful team May 28th – Legal issues including organization, IP and corporate governance June 4th – Funding sources: VCs, Angels and grants June 11th – Communicating to investors and strategic partners June 18th – Elevator pitch
