Acclaimed documentary host and producer, Emmy-winning network news anchor, multimedia production company president, and now grass fed cattle rancher and founder of Tallgrass Beef Company, Bill Kurtis is giving new voice to the movement that is changing the way we eat.
In 2005, Bill founded Tallgrass Beef Company to champion the environmental and health benefits of grass-fed cattle ranching and to coordinate the efforts of small grass-fed ranchers across the country. Tallgrass Beef can be found in the finest restaurants and retailers across the country.
In his home state of Kansas, Bill Kurtis and the Tallgrass Beef Company have become a leader in the grass-fed beef industry. Grass-fed beef are raised on his 10,000 acre ranch without hormones, are not fed antibiotics, are lower in fat, and are higher in omega-3.
His prior credits include:
*Founded Kurtis Productions in 1985 which has produced the long-running Cold Case Files and Investigative Reports on the A&E Network
*Produced programs for the History Channel, National Geographic Channel, CNBC and the Discovery Channel
*Co-anchor, CBS Morning News
*Correspondent, CBS Reports
*Anchor and reporter for CBS-owned WBBM-TV in Chicago
More recently:
*Kurtis provided the satirical narration for the hit film comedy, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, starring Will Ferrell
